Genie Eyes-Only is a privacy/security suite for Windows. This wizard-based application carries out three fundamental tasks: encrypt files, decrypt files and securely delete files.
Doing any of that is extremely easy. The encryption process uses AES encryption, which is known to be a pain to crack. The first thing you will want to do is to create a master password. That way, nobody will be able to tamper with your files within the application. It is also a mandatory process. Once that is done, encrypting and decrypting files is as easy as adding them to a list and following the instructions in the wizard. Everything you can do will take you to a wizard, which ensures that you don't do anything wrong. There is help at every step of the way. Genie Eyes-Only also comes with a file/folder hide feature. It allows you to select a file or folder and trick the operating system to make it not show up on the screen. It is not as safe a security measure as encrypting files, but it can prove sufficient for some people. The application also comes with a free online password manager, which allows you to save and retrieve your login information for Internet websites or local applications. |
